    It’s all very fine to gloat, Tyger – but Spain and Australia mark real changes of political mood and power, whereas all Blair’s departure has given us is a clapped out old nag from the same stable.

    I’m not so sure Brown will stay “a clapped out old nag”…Australia is far ‘closer’ to this country than the US – the Australian flag symbolising the close relationship…I sense we might see an “old nag” get a new lease of life…
