brown to give up some powers

1 Jul

Hardly suits the much-painted caricature of a power-crazed Machiavelli, does it?

I have to admit to being quietly heartened by some of Brown’s early policies.

Mind you, this is quite painful to watch. By far, the worst impression of Tony Blair I have ever seen (via).

A sub-edited version of the ST story can be read here:http://petergkenyon.typepad.com/peterkenyon/2007/07/brown-to-curb-p.htmlThere were some encouraging words early on at the hustings….the actions since as far as the Labour Party itself are very worrying and frankly risible in the light of the UK Constitutional proposals. The tactical issue is whether to allow feelings to determine response, or encourage a firm a constitutional approach to Party as well as Parliament and country.
